Formerly 'GA Aviation Tests', GAC Tests is a total redesign, allowing users to create their own custom tests that others can take. Every time someone takes your test you earn 25 GAViCs and they earn 50 GAViCs! Try it out!

The GAC MyPics site now allows storage space of 1GB per user -- up from 250MB previously! And, of course, it is still completely free!

The GAC Directory has been completely rewritten (v1,5,0)! In addition, the corresponding search engine module (for searching the GAC Directory) has also been completely rewritten (v2,0,0).

A new feature that has been in the works for the past few months has finally been released today! GAC MyPics allows you to share photos with your friends, family, and other GAC members, in addition to tagging images to help you better organize them or mark GAC members in the photos. Permissions allow for private folders (only you can browse the folder), public folders (everyone can browse the folder), and shared (other GAC members can upload photos to your album). Shared albums are great for starting community albums that all members are allowed to contribute to. Go take a look and give us some feedback!

Significant improvements have brought the GAC Forum up to version 1,7,2. New features include better integration with GAC MyPics, more user-friendly reply and message edit areas, sticky posts, topic locking, XML feeds, and more! Be sure to take a look and earn some GAViCs by posting!

In order to allow members to earn GAViCs (Global Aircraft Virtual Currency) more readily, some changes have been (and will be) made: posting messages to the forum will earn members 0.25 GAViCs each so far. In the future, doing things such as logging in, updating your profile, etc will all earn GAViCs automatically!

In order to better organize the website, all images and movies have been moved over to a new subdomain. All aircraft movies and images (including wallpapers) are now located at cdn.globalaircraft.org instead of www.globalaircraft.org. Please update any links you may have, as the old links may not work forever!

Every (non-member) page that I could find should now be converted to the new layout ... except for GA TV and the GAC Aviation Tests. The GAC Tests will be completely redone, allowing members to create their own tests that others can take. If you notice any problems with the new layout, please contact me.

A quick update on the recent changes and upcoming ones. The aircraft pages have now been redesigned to have a similar look to the new homepage. If all goes well with that, then the rest of the (non-member) pages will be changed to the new layout as well. Note that this is a tentative change and the code still needs to be cleaned up. Also, more changes to the forum have been made: there are now subtopics and the forum search engine has been updated to reflect all of the recent changes.

The GAC Forum has undergone additional changes: a new interface has been constructed and more features, including the ability to quote messages left by others with a single click.
